Political Convention Craziness Continues, AND Ron Paul Announces There Will be NO Third Party Run (Abraham Fungus Jr. calls him "cowardly")

Clint Eastwood talking to the chair from "Pee Wee's Playhouse" television program

Welp, hello again true believers.  We have certainly seen and heard a lot of craziness at the political conventions so far this election season, from Clint Eastwood talking to a chair at the Republican convention, to...well, I can't think of anything crazy that has happened at the Democratic convention so far...but just stay tuned.  I believe Bill Clinton is giving a speech tonight, and he has been known for being a pretty wild, and crazy guy at times.  Let's see what he can come up with... if anything...

"Y WUD U DO DAT?" cat (found on the internets)
Now, let us jump head first into our main topic...  "OH GOD WHY, Ron?"  Ron Paul made it pretty clear during his appearance on last night's episode of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, that he will NOT launch a third party run for the White House.  (SEE: Ron Paul on Leno: Confirms He Will NOT Run 3rd Party)

I am extremely disappointed about this.  We have heard so much saber rattling from Jesse Ventura and others about challenging the status quo with a third party run, but it appears it was just a lot of blowing of smoke, and huffing and puffing, because when the chips are down, and the time comes to throw their hat in the ring, they all say they don't have a chance, so why even bother?  It seems like the American people are suffering from new heights of apathy, as everyone is too disheartened to even attempt to challenge the power elite.

Luckily JimmyFungus.com endorsed presidential candidate Abraham Fungus Jr. is not afraid to fight.  Abraham Fungus Jr. expressed his displeasure about the recent course of events, and even called Ron Paul "cowardly" in his most recent statement.  See the video below so that you may see and hear what I am talking about here...

Well said, Abraham Fungus Jr., who is also holding his political convention this week.  If you don't believe me, check out of a photo of some of the Fungus convention festivities below...

"You said everyone would be here." ~ sad cat meme

Well there is so much going on in the world that it is positively insane... But that will just have to wait for the next thrilling exciting episode at JimmyFungus.com...

Because now, we are going to play ourselves out with a song...

Ron Paul on the Morton Downey Jr. Show circa 1988

Ron Paul as a guest on the Morton Downey Jr. Show

I know it's hard to believe, kids, but at one time conservatives were cool.  Or at least some of them were.  Back in the 80's at the end of the Reagan era, America was in pretty decent shape.  I know the hardcore liberals will argue and say "Uhh. NO it wasn't!"...But honestly, if you are old enough to remember...compared to the problems facing the U.S. today, the 80's were practically a golden era of peace and prosperity.  So, if you watch the following video, put things in the perspective that many conservatives of that time would be moderates in today's political climate.  In the late 80's, Morton Downey Jr. was painted as a right wing nut-job by many liberal voices in the media, and those who did not like him labeled his program as "trash television."  But the most of the views he expresses in this vid would be considered "establishment" viewpoints today, and this type of a high brow conversation, minus the yelling, reminds one more of what you would see on CSPAN when compared with modern day reality "trash" tv.

In retrospect, it's interesting to see that at that time many people were optimistic enough to believe the "war on drugs" could actually be won.  I don't know if Ron Paul's ideas are 100% the right course... but almost 25 years later, it is obvious a new approach is needed.

And on that note, I will leave you for today...

Once again, God bless you all, and thank you for your support.

Can Ron Paul Become President (Is Such a Thing Even Possible?)

the many faces of Tsoukalos
Hello, again, true believers.  Get ready for a ride..!  Because this is our very first installment entitled "IS SUCH A THING EVEN POSSIBLE?" (inspired by world famous alien, and ancient mysteries expert Giorgio Tsoukalos).  In this installment we will not be talking about aliens, or creatures from outer space, but the next closest thing...politicians.  But seriously folks, we will be talking about a man who many feel is a different kind of politician: Dr. Ron Paul.

the many faces of Boxxy Wayne
The Occupy Wall Street protesters, and the protests of other kindred spirits of the 99% movement, seem to put their finger on a few key problems...  One of them being that our politicians and lawmakers are owned by the rich, and powerful, and are therefore corrupt, and ineffectual.  But how do you get the corrupt money out of our political system?  IS SUCH A THING EVEN POSSIBLE?  If so,  it would no doubt be an extremely difficult goal to accomplish.  But Ron Paul approaches the problem differently than liberal progressives who view it as the government's job to regulate corruption out of the process, and protect the people.  Ron Paul believes that government is the problem..by taking as much power away from politicians as possible, and restoring it to the people, you eliminate the enticement for politicians to be corrupt.  By limiting their power as much as possible, you take away some of the incentive for the rich and powerful, and the corporations to buy them off, because they no longer have the strength or authority to give them what they want in exchange for, for the lack of a better word, their "bribes."   I am not a world renowned ancient aliens expert like Giorgio Tsoukalos, so I can't really say for sure...but I think it is an idea just crazy enough to work!

However, there is a lot more to know about Ron Paul's political philosophies.  He sat down for an interview awhile back in the popular mainstream movie "Bruno."  Let's learn a little bit more:

Well, unfortunately, I suppose that interview really didn't help serve our purposes any...  so, let us move right into our main question of the day here.

Can Dr. Ron Paul be elected President of the United States?   So we ask:

Giorgio A. Tsoukalos

A few short months ago the chances of Ron Paul winning the Republican nomination for president seemed beyond hope.  But his recent surge to the top of the pack, or close to it in Iowa, makes this possibility much more attainable.  But to win in Iowa would not be good enough.  Ron Paul needs the one-two punch of victories in Iowa and New Hampshire to light a fire under his young supporters and build some momentum...to get the nomination.  But if Paul does not win in Iowa, it still is not over.  If Dr. Paul does well in the primaries and still does not win the nomination, the clamor from his fans for a third party candidacy with Jesse Ventura on the ticket will be so loud, it will be deafening.  A coalition of the young voters that swept Obama into office in 2008, conservative libertarians, and anti-war progressives could conceivably win a three way race in the general election.

So, in conclusion the answer to our question..IS SUCH A THING EVEN POSSIBLE???
Giorgio A. Tsoukalos

And...this has ended!  As per usual we will play ourselves out with a song.  Here is a live performance of "I know I know I know" by Tegan and Sara.  Once again God bless you, and thank you for your support.

Oh Ron, You Devil! (Ron Paul Mania as hot as hell fire)

Ron Paul's meteoric rise has been fascinating to say the least. For anyone who has seen the movie "Oh God" with George Burns and John Denver, it almost seems reminiscent of the hysteria that ensues once the John Denver character follows God's (played by Burns) command to spread His message to the world. This recent video at youtube reminds me of the scene after Denver's character appears on the Mike Douglas show, or some kind of program like that, to tell the world he has seen God, and he comes home to find a bunch of crazies camped out on his lawn. In this clip Congressman Paul is asked questions like "how can we win our war against Satan?" and "if Satan were here what would you say to him?", as well as inquiries on many other burning social issues. Youtube user daveweigel81 posted the footage:

Ron Paul on Fire

On November 5th , presidential candidate Ron Paul, who up till recently was routinely mocked by the mainstream media for having no chance of winning, raised over $4 million in one day, which is apparently some kind of record as far as presidential fundraising is concerned. His supporters ingeniously had interwoven Paul's anti-government message with Guy Fawkes day, the anniversary of an anarchist's attempt to blow up British Parliament. But perhaps more familiarly with the theme of the 2005 movie "V for Vendetta" which has lines in it such as "The people shouldn't fear their government...the government should fear it's people." Anyway, if these recent developments don't have the ruling class quaking in their boots yet, it's at least giving them a mild case of athlete's foot fungus. Well, we will see what happens.

The plot thickens...
