Michael Moore calls capitalism "evil"; ALSO "Miley Cyrus is not Hitler" (plus Ellen Page's new movie, and A Daxflame Moment in History)

Alright, kids, put on your thinking caps, because we have a lot to cover in today's blog.  Umm, wait, where are you going??..PLEASE, just hang on and read this delightful article, because I assure you, you will learn a great deal.  I will tell you everything you need to know that's been going on in the world and the blogosphere, and not a milligram more.  Let's hit it.
Well, Michael Moore has finally gotten a chance to make his masterpiece...the zenith of a lifetime of being "the greatest artist, agitator, poet, fighter, genius, radical of our time."  Oh, wait, what the hell am I talking about...that's what they said about Bob Dylan.  (SEE Funguzz Vizzion: "I'm Not There" directed by Todd Haynes (Part 1) and Funguzz Vizzion: "I'm Not There" directed by Todd Haynes (Part 2))  But, anyway, the point is Michael Moore has finally put together the mother of all anti-establishment documentaries called "Capitalism: A Love Story", and it's coming up against some fierce resistance.

Needless to say, this is all kind of a big deal.  In an interview Moore did on the streets with a CNN reporter, the director expressed some very interesting opinions on the direction that he believes our democracy should go.  In a nutshell Moore believes democracy rules, and capitalism drools.  He says that contrary to popular belief, change can happen very quickly, citing how fast the Berlin Wall came down, and the rise to power of figures like Nelson Mandela and Barack Obama.  Moore also has some interesting views on copyright laws, saying that art is something that should be shared as much as possible, and doing so with fewer legal restrictions is not only beneficial to the fans, but the artist as well.  See: YouTube - Michael Moore Interviewed by CNN at Wall Street's "Charging Bull" Sc

These and other news events once again led renegade economist Mad Max Keiser to call for a worker's revolution from his underground bunker in Paris.  "A group of individuals have taken it upon themselves to bankrupt the state, and they deserve to be punished in the harshest possible terms, and I do not rule out decapitation!" says Max.  See: YouTube - Mad Max Keiser "Decapitate the Bankers!"

Wow wee! If you think that interview was tense, you should also see Michael Moore's interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer promoting his new documentary See: Michael Moore has his way with Wolf Blitzer again - Democratic Underground  Ouch, take it easy, Mike.  He's Wolf Blitzer...not Hitler!

O.k., I kinda stole that Hitler line from prodigious youtube commentator JohnnySmooth.  Mr. JohnnySmooth is a youtube vlogger, not to mention an artist, a genius, and a mastermind of the highest order.  Recently, the mighty youtube featured a video of Miley Cyrus promoting her new clothing line at Walmart, which was met with an astonishing amount of  invective, and vitriol from the riff raff in the youtube peanut galleries. (See:
YouTube - Leave Miley Cyrus Alone. She is not Hitler. -BE FOREWARNED,...THERE IS SOME VERY, VERY STRONG LANGUAGE IN THIS VID.  SO IF THAT WILL MAKE YOUR EARS BLEED PLEASE DON'T CLICK ON THE LINK.  THANK YOU.)  Luckily JohnnySmooth was available to courageously defend Miss Cyrus.  "...some of these hateful comments she's (Miley's) been getting.  It's just sickening!" says Mr. Smooth.  An example of some of these despicable comments directed at Miss Miley Cyrus include "Tie a rope around your neck, hang yourself from your ceiling fan, and turn it on." and "I was dating Miley Cyrus for like a year, and we was gonna get married. But one day she farted, so I broke up with her and never saw her again."  And that was only what I was able to print.  My, my...what kind of world do we line in, folks?  Not a good one...not a good one.

Now for something completely different.  It seems that Michael Moore's new capitalist pig bashing documentary is not the only interesting movie headed for a theater near you.  Drew Barrymore's directorial debut is just your standard high school beauty queen becomes a roller derby enthusiast comedy, and appears to be just entertaining enough to eventually get me off my skinny butt into my local Lackluster Video Store (when it comes out on DVD).  Ok, let's learn a litte bit more.  See the trailer below for "Whip It":

Which segways us right into our next segment:

NIFTY SONG LYRICS OF THE DAY

Today's nifty song lyrics are from Jim Croce's 1973 classic "Roller Derby Queen."

Gonna tell you a story that you won't believe
But I fell in love last Friday evenin'
With the girl I saw on a bar room TV screen

Well I was just gettin' ready to get my hat
When she caught my eye and I put it back
And I ordered myself a couple o' more___shots 'n' beers

The night that I fell in love with a Roller Derby queen
Round and round, oh round and round
The meanest hunk o woman that anybody ever seen
Down in the arena

Alright, stop asking me "are we there yet?" because we're almost finished.  Now for our final segment of the day...

A MOMENT IN DAXFLAME HISTORY

Today we remember a youtube video which has fast become legendary (at least as far as I'm concerned).  It is a vid posted by EclecticAsylumArt to announce the People's Choice winner in Eclectic Asylum Art's "Strike A Pose" Portrait Contest.  The winner, young Daxflame, had the honor of having his portrait painted with chocolate syrup, and a spoon in place of a paint brush.  A work of art so brilliant it makes Andy Warhol's "32 Campbell's Soup Cans" look like...uhh..a bunch of Campbell's Soup cans.  Here it is:

Well, that will conclude another exciting trek through the blogosphere at http://jviz.blogspot.com/.  Once again, God bless you, and thank you for your support.
